I graduated George Fox University with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. After giving birth to my second child I realized that working a full time job was no longer my passion. I decided to start my own company to combine my two passions, Children and Business. I have 16 years experience working with children of all ages. Along with my day care and babysitting experience, I am also a 4-H leader. I work with kids to set and achieve goals and also the responsibilities of caring for a horse. I continue to attend child development classes and workshops to meet licensing requirements.
ABC Day Care is designed for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 13 years. I am licensed for 10 children, however because I believe that each child deserves one on one attention I do not have that many children here at one time. I schedule indoor and outdoor activities to help enhance the children’s growth and development. We enjoy being creative by making crafts, singing, story time and much more.
Starting in October I will be using a preschool curriculum through Mother Goose Time. Mother Goose Time is a professionally developed preschool curriculum for preschools, home daycares and childcare centers. They’re nationally recognized curriculum nurtures the whole child and supports the child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. We will be completing activities such as math, language arts, science, creative arts and social studies. It is designed for children ages 2 to 5 years. They also have a curriculum designed for children under 2 years. If you are interested in either program it would cost $30.00 per month for supplies.
My hours are Monday thru Friday 6am – 6pm. I offer an affordable rate and multiple child discounts. I also extend my hours on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6pm – 9 pm to allow parents extra time to work out, attend bible study, a class, shopping or relaxing. I also participate in Silverton’s First Friday event, while you are spending time shopping or dinner I am doing crafts, singing songs, reading books and/or watching a movie with your children. Additionally, I extend my hours one Friday night per month for parents to have a date night. These three events are discounted to $5 per hour up to 2 children and $7.50 per hour for 3 or more children per family.
